We regularly host public talks on disabled historyby leading authors and researchers from around the world.
These include talks to celebrate UK Disability History Month. Our talks are aimed at a popular audience and include British Sign Language interpretation and are captioned.
You can access recordings of the talks here.
A compilation of talks about disabled history was created to celebrate the International Day of Disabled People 2021. As well as accessing them through this website, they can be viewed at Manchester Central Library through Archives+. These videos were created with the support of Manchester City Council and Manchester Metropolitan University.
Please keep an eye on our events page to find out about upcoming events, including lectures to celebrate UK Disability History Month. You can also subscribe to our mailing list to be kept informed about talks and events hosted by the Cultures of Disability research group.
